2023-24 Season Recap:

An incredibly successful season for Syracuse Women’s Club Hockey came to a close right before spring break and it was a season for the books. Between the first and second semester they played 16 games, scoring an astonishing 75 goals, only allowing 12 in the process. With an amazing 14-2-0 record at the end, the team earned a 0.875 P%.

The group is still aiming high as they will be joining the Independent Women's Club Hockey League (IWCHL) in the fall of 2024. This season was a big improvement over their previous campaign.

With a statline of 14 goals, 7 assists, and 21 points, sophomore forward Leah Landry led Syracuse in every category this season. This season, Avery Schiff and Emmalyn Lacz were SU's goaltenders, recording four and three shutouts, respectively.

With anticipation for the upcoming 2024-25 season, we extend our deepest appreciation to defenseman Jessica McEvoy, our only graduating senior. Jess, who is receiving a degree in Environmental and Interior Design, enjoyed scoring goals when she was periodically asked to play forward during her senior season. She was a great shutdown defenseman during her time here at SU and she will be missed. Congratulations, Jess!

A huge thanks to all 25 members of the Syracuse Women’s Club Hockey team as well as head coach Christina Beam and assistant coach Marty Sicilia.
