The Syracuse University women’s club hockey team continued its unbeaten start to the season with a commanding 7–0 win over Clarkson University on Saturday afternoon at the Ice Pavilion. Behind a relentless offensive effort and a perfect performance in goal, the Orange improved to 3–0–0 on the year.

Despite a scoreless opening period, Syracuse controlled play from the start, outshooting Clarkson 28–4 in the first frame. The breakthrough came in the second period when Leigh Wilkin buried the game’s first goal at 18:30, which would stand as the game-winner. Just two minutes later, Neve Padulo doubled the lead with a highlight-reel backhander that found the top corner.

From there, the floodgates opened. Elise Herrick, Julianna Bucci, Hannah O’Dowd, and Bryana Treon each found the back of the net before the period ended, giving Syracuse a commanding 6–0 advantage heading into the final frame.

Padulo struck again in the third period, netting her second of the game to cap off the scoring. Charlotte Robards chipped in with two assists—her first points as a member of the Orange.

On the back end, goaltender Emma Lacz stood strong, stopping all seven shots she faced to record the shutout. Syracuse finished with an astounding 66–7 shot advantage, showcasing their dominance on both sides of the puck.

The Orange will look to complete the weekend sweep when they face Clarkson again on Sunday at 2 p.m. at Tennity Ice Pavilion.
