On Friday, January 24th, the Syracuse Orange faced off against Clarkson at Tennity Ice Pavilion for their first matchup of the season. The game started with high energy as Syracuse’s Eve Chace opened the scoring, setting the tone for the night. Not long after, Leah Landry fired a shot into the top corner, doubling the Orange’s lead before the end of the first period.


The second period saw both teams tighten up defensively, resulting in a scoreless 20 minutes. However, the third period was a different story, with Syracuse unleashing an offensive onslaught to seal a commanding victory.


The Orange erupted for five goals in the final frame, showcasing their depth and scoring power. Julianna Bucci started the scoring spree, followed by goals from Bry Treon, Ivy Dietrich, and a second tally from Eve Chace. Elise Herrick capped off the night with the team’s seventh goal. Eden Price contributed two assists in the game, on goals from Landry and Dietrich. Syracuse dominated offensively throughout the game, firing over 50 shots on goal.


Harper Keenan was a standout in net, recording a 16-save shutout to secure the win.


The Orange now look ahead to their next matchup, hosting Springfield on Friday, February 2nd, at 1PM. With momentum on their side, Syracuse will aim to continue their strong performance and add another win to their season.
