2025 Regionals Playoff Overview

As the 2025 Regionals playoff tournament heats up, all eyes are on the highly anticipated matchups set to take place this week at the Messa Rink at Achilles Center in Schenectady, New York. Home to the Union College Chargers, this venue will host some of the best teams in the region, competing for supremacy in a thrilling, action-packed weekend.

The Schedule:

The tournament kicks off on Friday, February 21, with two exciting matchups to determine the final two teams that will battle for the championship:

• 4:00pm - Syracuse (#1) vs. Binghamton (#4): The day begins with the top-seeded Syracuse team facing off against the fourth-seeded Binghamton squad. Syracuse enters the game with high expectations, holding the #1 ranking, while Binghamton will look to upset the odds as the underdogs. With plenty of skill and determination on both sides, this game is sure to set the tone for what promises to be an intense and high-stakes weekend.

• 6:30pm - Paul Smith’s (#2) vs. Springfield (#3): In the second game of the day, Paul Smith’s, ranked second, will go head-to-head with third-seeded Springfield. On Saturday, February 22, the action continues with the crucial consolation game followed by the championship match:

• 4:30pm - Championship Game: The day concludes with the most anticipated game of the tournament—the championship final. The two teams who emerged victorious in Friday’s semifinals will face to become the Champions of the College Hockey North, Women’s Division. Both teams in this Championship game will head to the AAU National Championship Tournament in Jacksonville, Florida on March 5-9
